Push Studios has adopted a set of policies, which reflect our concern for the environment and recognises the need to conserve the planet’s limited resources.

These policies aim to establish a balance between short-term economics and longer-term environmental sustainability.

A balance must be struck between the aesthetic, form and function, budget and environmental sustainability awareness.

 

Push Studios recognises that it has a responsibility to minimise its impact on the environment and aims to deliver design solutions that:

 

Aim to conserve the planets limited resources.

 

Minimise the use of environmentally damaging materials.

 

Specify materials from sustainable sources.

 

Consider the impact of any design on energy consumption.

 

Always consider how built elements could be re-used.

Push Studios is committed to reducing waste and energy consumption in the work place.  These issues are continually being addressed and audited by our commitment to BS 8901. The British Standard which has been developed specifically for the events industry with a purpose of helping the industry to operate in a more sustainable manner

 

Push Studios recognise that the key element of the environmental policy’s success is education of its employees with the eventual goal that staff will actively want to participate.

 

Push Studios has a responsibility and aims to:

 

Minimise paper wastage by implementing a paperless online project management tool called Procim, which drastically reduces our paper waste.

 

Recycle all waste paper, cardboard and glass, reusing wherever possible

 

Pass all used toner and ink cartridges to the recyclingappeal.com who sell them on and pass the proceeds to our local HIV / AIDS charity, The Sussex Beacon.

 

Discourage the use of plastic cups and instead provide glasses for water

 

Use china cups for coffee instead of throwaway

 

Use natural materials in the office

 

Minimise energy consumption by using power save and turning off lights and equipment when not in use.

 

Encourage use of public transport to travel to meetings
